TIME CAPSULE 2050

TIME CAPSULE 2050 is a project by the USC School of Cinematic Arts, aiming to create a digital time capsule filled with student projects, set to be sealed in January 2025 and opened in 2050. Inspired by a 2008 panel featuring IBM researchers, the initiative encourages students to envision the future through innovative media works. Whether utopian or dystopian, submissions can explore themes like culture, technology, and entertainment. The project kicked off with a panel and workshop on April 5, 2024.

DATALAND

DATALAND, opening in 2025 in Downtown LA, will be the world’s first Museum of AI Arts. Spearheaded by Refik Anadol Studio, it will bring together artists, scientists, and AI researchers to create immersive, AI-driven art experiences. The museum will feature large-scale visualizations and explore the intersection of creativity, data, and machine learning, setting new standards for AI art in cultural spaces.
